About Us

Bill Bickett was a truck driver until he bought Ayers Landing from the former owner, Ike Ayers over 30 years ago. Starting with only a couple of old pickup trucks, 40 beat up canoes and 3 leaky rafts, he built a successful business known by many to be like “hitting the easy button” when it comes to organizing your float down lower Fox River. Bill retired in 2023 and sold Ayers Landing to his son, Dan.

Dan Bickett worked at Ayers Landing from 1991-2002. After serving as a firefighter in Streator, IL and 20 years as a Chinook helicopter pilot in the US Army, Dan has retired from the military and moved back to Illinois to continue running the family business with the help of his wife and family.
